Santa Fe Gourmet Classic Ride is a fun, challenging 70-mile bike tour with delicious, creative Southwest style foods at six of the refueling stops. The non-competitive ride winds through Santa Fe and into the surrounding areas, taking you through beautiful meadows overlooking the Sangre de Cristo and Sandia mountains. Pre-registration is necessary and is limited to the first 200 people. Registration deadline is September 17, 2010.

Ride for Sight 2010
Annual Trek for Trash
Date: Starting Oct 3rd, 2010
Ride Type: Non-Competitive
Skill Level: Mixed
These are four days filled with cycling, trash bags in your jersey pockets, and stopping approximately every 10 miles to fill your bags with roadside litter.  The full trash bags are left beside the road and a truck picks them up!

Join us for the camaraderie ...  and hard work!

There will be a hamburgers, brats, chicken dinner/cookout/get together/ at my house Thursday, 9/2 at 6:00 PM.  Let me know if you can come and if you will be bringing any guests.  All guests are welcome.

Friday, 9/3, we will ride the Enchanted circle backwards and we will meet at 7:30 at the Sagebrush Inn.  All evening dinners are informal.  Fridays dinner will be at the Guadalajara Grill North.

Saturday, 9/4 we will ride from the Sagebrush at 7:30 to Santa Fe on the high road and eat at Santa Fe Bar and Grill and Sag back to Taos.

Sunday, 9/5 we will ride from the Sagebrush at 7:30 and ride to Angel Fire, Mora and back over US hill back to Taos.  Sunday evening we will eat at Outback Pizza in Taos.

Monday, 9/6 we will meet at 7:30 at the K-TAOS parking lot (traffic light to the ski area) and drive to Chama where we will ride back to Taos and have dinner at the Old Blinking Light restaurant.

Bring snacks and lunches for yourselves that can be carried on the Sag vehicles.  Sag vehicles will have water and snacks.  Bring rain gear.

Please extend an invitation to anyone that might be interested in riding on the Trek.

Annual Trek for Trash
Santa Rosa de Lima Off-Road Duathlon
Date: October 2, 2010
Ride Type:  Competitive
Skill Level: Mixed
The Fun Run/Walk (with emphasis on FUN) leaves the Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church at 8:30 a.m.  The Duathlon Experienced Division starts at 9:30 a.m.  at the Multi-Use Center followed by the Novice Division.

Benefit:  Proceeds benefit the 100 year-old Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church Restoration Fund.

Course description:  Mountain bikes are recommended!  Bicycle segments of the duathlon take place off-road, on primitive terrain around the Santa Rosa Multi-Use Center.  The course winds around Perch Lake, up and down a steep rocky hill, through sandy soil, over clumpy grass and dirt roads.  Duathlon running segments follow dirt roads and trails.  The Fun Run/Walk begins and ends at the Santa Rosa de Lima Church on pavement with a brunch stop available midway at the Multi-Use Center.

To Register:  Download the official entry form from www.santarosanm.org and mail it to the address listed or call 575-799-9697 for information.  You may also register on race day, 10/02/10.  Race day registration packet and t-shirt pickup is open from 7:00 a.m.  to 9:00 a.m.  Registration is limited to 150 entries.  The transition area opens at 7:00am.
